The Sheep Hunt

Ben & his buddy Jake are gearing up for their annual hunt. This year they are going for Sheep up in the Brooks Range. Ben took his first Caribou up there last year. We enjoyed it all winter and still have some steaks in the freezer. We hear that Sheep is even better. Rumor is that every cut is like filet mignon! It's amazing how much better you feel about what is on your table when you are able to respect the life that gave it to you. The boys head out Friday for the week. When they get up to the Brooks they have to hike 5 miles off the road before they can take something. It will be a great chance for Ben to clear his mind of all the craziness and hustle and bustle of the Alaskan summer construction season. The only bummer is he has to head to Denver for a weeklong training as soon as he gets back.
