Mother's Day Weekend In Halibut Cove

We rented a remote public use cabin in Halibut Cove Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Mother's Day weekend! We took a water taxi from Homer out there and back. It was wonderful to get away! We saw belugas, sea otter, dahl sheep, mountain goat, harbor porpoise, bald eagles, stellar blue jays and of course moose. Friends of ours were supposed to have come, but it was probably a good thing they didn't as the little guy didn't sleep that well at all. The sunlight at 11 pm streaming in the windows was too much for him.
