Push for Summit -1

6/8 Update 5pm - Weather turned out to be great today. Joe & Ben W. pushed up to 17,000' feet and might try to summit tonight or tomorrow morning. Papa Bear wasn't feeling 100% and opted out. Having a family changes things. He said there are way too many people up there that don't know what they are doing & aren't in shape, moving too slow on the fixed lines. He wasn't willing to unclip to pass them and put his life in jeopardy. This is a problem on all the world's tallest peaks these days. People from cities and with money to throw around hire guides to lead them up mountains they aren't fit to go up themselves. We are so extremely proud of him for making this extremely valiant decision! I'll continue to update on the rest of the team's progress. They are fit men with real mountain experience and are in contact w/ our Papa Bear via radio. Thanks for all the support and keep sending safe summit thoughts to his climbing partners.

What a strong, humble, grounded, amazing man and papa I have for a husband!
